We’ve been listening, tweaking, and building - and this month MentorPlace is all about making your mentoring sessions smoother, more intuitive, and more connected. Here’s the lowdown:
✨ New Features
- Add to Calendar – Click once and -- poof -- your session details, including join link, are in your Google or Outlook calendar (as a mentor, if your calendar is already synced, you can skip this entirely).
- Major Booking Upgrade – Booking a session now feels more like setting yourself up for success:
- Add desired session outcomes and extra context.
- See your active goals, add new ones, and pick which to share with your mentor.
- Control goal visibility per mentor (share your career goal with Jane, but keep that personal health goal private with Bob).
- Login Tenant Selector – If you have access to multiple tenants, you’ll now see a friendly selector when logging in, complete with branding. No more “oops, wrong place” moments.
🔧 Improvements
- Rescheduling with style – Mentors can now notify the other party when they need to reschedule (with context — no more mystery cancellations).
- Friendlier emails – Goodbye “Dear Individual”, hello personalisation.
- Clear next steps – First-time users now get a post-booking confirmation explaining exactly what happens next.
- Session launch timer – The Join button unlocks 5 minutes before your session starts, with reminders to guide you there.
- Mentor dashboard checklist – Sync your calendar, complete your profile, and get setup quicker.
- Goals open by default – So everyone knows they exist and can collaborate instantly.
🐞 Bug Fixes
- Feedback now works when marking the other party as a no-show.
- Cross-tenant video issues fixed - join from anywhere without confusion.
- “1 Day to Go” reminders and booking confirmations are back online and reliable after a full rebuild of our email scheduler.
- Availability windows now sort in chronological order (logical right!?).
- Feedback reminders now arrive after your session, not before (no crystal ball required).
- Plus, a bunch of other minor gremlin cleanouts.
